Sugar Sweet! Sugar Sour??

Sooo...I went to my local MAC freestanding store today...and what did I discover you ask??

WHELP....I took a look at Sugar Sweet and I was underwhelmed, obviously stars n' rockets and club are permanent...so thats blah....and boring nothing new and exciting at all. The others are dear cupcake - a bright sparkly pink that looks so pretty in the pot..and on your finger..mm...bleh, chalky texture and not enough pigment for my likes, passionate and expensive pink would be sooo much cuter on your eyes and sugar shot - a luster (HATE) texture that could pretty much match retrospeck or any other highlight color, why oh why do they even MAKE lusture finishes...gahhhh. And then there was Aquavert..hmm...didn't have as much pigment as I would have liked..but all the same the color was cheery and springy and somehow i just couldn't pass it up. Its a minty green color that is just adorable..and I cant wait to do a look with it tonight!! hmm...thinking cap on a look....

The MSF's were great as welll...I got refined which is a beauty-ful sparkiling peach color, and i pretty much drooled all over the display when i saw it...the other one (perfect topping) was pretty too...but i have light flush that i got from a CCO a while back and it looks suspiciously the same..hmm...haha ah well for those who missed out on "light flush" there you go!

The nail polisihes Peppermint Patty and Seasonal Peach...they are both really pretty and are quite sheer unless you put about 4 coats on..which according to the MAC artist is "standard practice" in the makeup world..umm.....wha? anyways i didn't get them cause i just bought go on green by O.P.I. and they are similar..and as you all know I am moving..so the need to save money stopped me (sad face)

The lipglasses:
Consume Me
Triple Yum
Simply Delicious
Just Dessert
SCARE ME.....seriously...i dunno they looked gross, especially after the people in the store had moved the wands in them so much that they made them all milky and blecked together..i dunno if that made sense...also i don't like the square packaging as it does not fit into the little holes in my storage system...so they were out too... (again...sad face)

the lipsticks were cute and perhaps i will back to mac them with some stuff..but i didn't see one that i HAD to have..sweet thing would prolly be the closest...as i dont' have a purple toned one in my vast collection...so

i liked these, they were much creamy-er than before, all of them glided on perfectly...BUT they were all SOOOOO shiny...i like shiny don't get me wrong..but they were INTENSE NESS....so i opted out of those as well..though i may reconsider..it was not love at first sight!

i think thats it...i would post swatches but i only got two things from the collection (a record for me) so perhaps i will just post the look i do tonight..how does that sound?

I'm moving!

Me and the BF just found the most beautiful place in the most amazing location! It is my first time moving out on my own and I am scared shitless...ahhhh...but I think it will be great! I can't wait to set up my own little apartment and have my own little kitchen and bathroom and balcony...ooohhh its so pretty and new....my question to those who are reading is

Hope everyone is having a good one today....I am going to start posting my LOTD on my blog, that way if there are any reqests for any of them you can let me know

Smashbox Bionic Mascara.....grmrme

HEY! so...as i put in my last post I would tell you all about smashbox bionic mascara..SO here is the scoop

1. it is really soft, the brush and the formulation feel so silky and smooth on the eye and it does not hurt to put on ( i found cover girl lash blast, or the ones with those plastic-y wands hurt..OUCH) so that is good BUT

2. it does NOT stay on, i have never had this problem with mascara before, have you? by the end of the day, it is gone, and it is not flaked all over my face or smudged or anything, just...GONE...which I find frustrating and silly...ugh...gha...blah....but ya...the tips of my lashes seem to have no product on them, which really bugs me cause when i do a look, i take my time and make it look pretty and mascara totally finishes it off...so...

I don't really like it, i did a you tube vid about how i did like it but upon further review and inspection i have decided that i will skip this at the store next time around...

anybody else think the same thing??

BE Prime Time Eye=Blech!

SO! I just bought this Primer from BE...and I did a review on you tube for it...and i said it was "okay" well I would like to amend my statement..I REALLY don't like this...

First off the texture is not great, it is hard to smooth all over the eye, and feels to thick to be a primer, if that makes sense, it seems to mix with the colors that you put overtop of it and then make a paste..that..here it comes...CREASES...hmm...isn't one of the main points of a primer so that the shadow does not crease...anyways...I really don't like this at all, I am going to stick with my TFSI for sure!

I put this underneath my 88 palette shadows as well as my MAC shadows, UD and a few others and it made all of them crease...which is weird, cause even my eyes WITHOUT primer don't crease as bad as they did with this...hmpf...just my 2 cents..has anyone had a good experience with this?!

Smashbox Socialite Kit

Hello!! So....I just went to Shoppers Drug Mart and got this AMAZING kit from Smashbox. I don't own anything from them, but I have tried the photofinish primer...and LOVE it...but it is much too expensive..

ANYWAYS the kit includes:
Blush Bronzer Duo in Cosmopolitan - which reminds me of Nars Orgasm Blush a little, it is a coraly pinky peach...LOVE this color, it has some sheen to it and is STUNNING.... The bronzer is quite light which as i am the PALEST person on the planet..works out great, for those with darker skintones it would serve as a blush perhaps?

Eyeshadow Quad in Socialite - 4 colors that are FAB! a bronzy copper, a sparkiling champagne tan, a dark dirty brown and a frosty white, these are PERFECT for the soft summer smokey look! WOO! the colors are very pigmented and easily blended, but all have some shine/sheen/sparkle to them...just a heads up!

Cream Eyeliner DUO in Caviar/Bronze - LOVE.....ya that pretty much sums it up...just...LOVE....they are great cream eyeliners that you could also use as a base, i swatched the bronze side with the bronzy copper e\s overtop and it was pure decadance....WOO! they are super creamy and smudge, blend and shape easily but dry down so as not to continue to smudge blend and shape...

Photo op Undereye Brightner
- hmmm...well this did brighten under my eyes...and i don't have dark circles so I really did like the "look" it gave me..and I would put money on the fact that it would look fab in a photo...I am going to do a tutorial on this one! BUT my verdict is...if you have dark circles you would for SURE need a concealer underneath and then this on top, so if you could find a something that did both..i would go for it instead..having said that I do like this...so...take what you will from that SUPER unclear review ..haha

Eye Beam Double Ended Brightner
- this is similar to the benefit one...and i really like it, it is perfect for those days what all you got time for is a little hightlighter and mascara...I love the "brow" color and would prolly use it both on my brows and on the inner corner of my eye, my bet is you could use it as a base for e\s too..it is pretty dry so i don't know if it would crease....i will test that theory and get back to you on that...

Lip Enhancing Gloss (true color) in Soiree - I like this too...the smell is odd, maybe its just me, its not to sticky the color is great and it is perfect with the shadows and blushes given..its lipgloss...pretty standard..not too many details I can give....

LASTLY - Bionic Mascara in Jet Black - I have yet to try this as I had mascara on...I am going to do a Smashbox look when I get home tonight and try it out, I have heard nothing but RAVE reviews on this one, and the brush is a nice thick wand..again..will update on that one later!!

It all comes in a woven black clutch bag with a "whip" (just what it looks like to me) wound around it, which I promptly cut off..so not to seem dominatrix-esque....BUT the inside of the bag is a soft pink satin with brown flowers..and is super cute...
This was about $74 CDN with tax, but with all the products it has (all full size by the way) it is well worth it for me to try a good sampling of smashbox products....

whew...well that was long...i love the little kits that they have and would suggest taking a peeka t them as they are quite cost effective and you get to try a whole bunch of different looks!
